In 2014, the Nine Domains Group will offer the following Workshops, Trainings, and Webinars:

The Fundamentals of the Nine Domains Approachsm Workshop

This Workshop includes:

  • How the Nine Domains provide a means to work with the whole of a system
  • How five Levels of Functioning provide a means to identify the way in which groups are currently operating—their strategies, relationships, and means of communication
  • How the universality of the Nine Domains applies to nature and to fundamental principles
  • How to explore the value and purpose of each Domain in the context of an entire system

The Nine Domains Approachsm and InnovationCircle© Training

This Training enriches the Nine Domains Approach by combining it with The InnovationCircle. The InnovationCircle maps the processes for discovering what is missing in a group, what blocks its successful functioning, and what aspects need development to support its growth and ultimately its ability to achieve its full potential.  You will learn how to apply the InnovationCircle Workplace process as a living system – from individual coaching to team coaching, to organizational development.

The combination of these three elements (The Levels of Functioning, The Nine Domains, and the InnovationCircle) makes it possible for a Facilitator to work with group dynamics as they arise.  Its subtlety lies in being able to recognize the mental, emotional, and physical levels operating within a group. At the same time, it addresses the fluctuation of human behaviors and capacities, strengths and weaknesses at play.  This synthesis enables coaches and managers to have more clarity about a group they are working with and to have the capacity to apply greater insight in timing group exercises and other interventions to produce lasting impact and change.

The Nine Domains and InnovationCircle Training will expose participants to:

  • Deeper understandings of group dynamics as they play out in the InnovationCircle workplace
  • Applications of the InnovationCircle principles, including Stages of Awareness, Positioning, Choosing Direction,  Bringing into Motion, and Staying on Track, to specific objectives
  • Increased clarification of the Facilitator’s role in establishing and encouraging group momentum
  • Principles and practices for mindful coaching of groups at whatever Levels they may be functioning
  • Greater awareness of the significant role that a Facilitator’s own ego defenses and personality patterns play when facilitating group conversations

This Nine Domains and InnovationCircle Training is presented by members of The Nine Domains Group and by Albert Kamphuis of Egowise Leadership© who developed the InnovationCircle.

What past participants have said about the Nine Domains and InnovationCircle Training:
“The framework and knowledge are astounding to me in the depth and scope of what you have captured, not only in the group dynamic pieces, but in relationship to “a living, complex system”.  I think that this work is an incredible model which makes it easier for people who have not spent much time, or have little experience and awareness of the simultaneous connections that are inherent in every team.”

– Kaye (November 2013 Participant)

The first part of the week, was an immersion in the information and wisdom about the Nine Domains….  My experience was profound. The descriptions and the components of the Domainssoaked into the very core of my thinking and feeling…. Then came the second part of the training, the Innovation Circle. If the Fundamentals provided us a look at the particles and components of the light, the Innovation Circle turned our attention to experiencing the Nine Domains as a wave. For most of the Innovation Circle training there wasn’t a focus on giving us a lot of new information (though there was plenty of it), but on helping us to jump in and participate in the dynamic flow of how the energy of the Domains works itself out through us and within groups…. The information of the first part of the week was given flesh and blood.  And by the end of the time together I was excited to take it home and make it work in my congregations.”

The TOLATsm Webinar Series

The basic diagnostic tool of the Nine Domains Approach is the TOLAT. By addressing the Levels of Functioning and the Nine Domains within a whole system, the TOLAT is able to survey in a comprehensive manner a group’s degree of health.  Establishing this degree of health is a key starting point for opening important and timely conversations.  A common response from those who have administered the TOLAT is that these conversations were essential and that they would not have occurred without the TOLAT.

Learning to apply the TOLAT is part of our online educational curriculum for a Nine Domains Facilitator.  Completion of the Fundamentals of the Nine Domains Workshop is required prior to registering for the TOLAT Webinars.

The TOLAT webinars consist of four parts:

Part 1 The purpose, set-up, and administration of the TOLAT
Part 2 Interpretation of TOLAT results
Part 3 Providing feedback to clients
Part 4 Coaching, consulting, and continuing the relationship with clients
